Three second-half goals ended Inter Miami’s CONCACAF Champions Cup campaign as they bowed out to the Vancouver Whitecaps in the semi-final.
Leading 2-0 from the first leg, Vancouver came from behind to clinch a 3-1 second leg victory in Miami and wrap up a 5-1 aggregate lead.
It was a third straight defeat for Miami and Lionel Messi’s fourth game without a goal.

Jordi Alba had given the hosts the perfect start, halving the aggregate deficit after only nine minutes when he seized onto a Luis Suarez pass for his first goal of the season.
But the tie swung firmly in Vancouver’s favour just after the break with two goals in three minutes.
Brian White levelled the match six minutes after the restart, Pedro Vite adding a second moments later.
Sebastian Berhalter, who had played a part in the opening two goals, wrapped things up when he found the bottom corner 19 minutes from time.
The midfielder will miss the final – against Cruz Azul or fellow Mexican side Tigres UANL – after picking up a yellow card.
