Maidenhead kept alive their Vanarama National League survival hopes with a 2-0 win at relegated Ebbsfleet.

The home side went close late in the first half when Luke O’Neil’s header hit the post.

Maidenhead broke the deadlock soon after the restart when Shawn McCoulsky scored following a swift counter-attack.

After Ebbsfleet midfielder George Moncur saw his shot tipped onto the crossbar, Maidenhead doubled their lead in the 60th minute through Brendan Kiernan’s close-range effort and the rock-bottom hosts could find no way back.
